DIY Pollen Filter - Civic FD

Just a question, does this filter prevent the build up of stinky shit inside your air vent? or is that totally non-related.. i've noticed that everytime i turn on the air con now, it smells like something died for about 5mins then goes away after the aircon gets goin, anyone know how to get rid of this?

If you are thinking about the mould and rotting crud that would accumulate around the damp cooling core, it should as it would filter out the dust/pollen and other stuff that would otherwise accumulate there. If you see Shimmian's post pictures, you can just make out the fan which is downstream.

I got one from the parts dep at Brighton Honda and they charged $56 (or something very close to that), maybe I could have got cheaper, but at least it wasn't $80-90 as mentioned earlier in this thread..

Its sitting on my shelf ready to go, if only my car had turned up LOL

It does seem a bit cheap of to leave them out I must admit..
