    Fixing a broken bumper

My front bumper has been having issues since a crash I had quite a while back. I think what has happened is the fasteners and clips that were holding the bumper onto the car body were snapped and now my bumper hangs off the body. Whats the way to reattach it to the steel body without having to buy a new bumper? thanks.

uhhh replace the broken fasteners and buy new clips would be a start, or a drill and some cable ties should do the trick

Problem with replacing the broken fasteners is that theyre actually molded onto the plastic bumper, so I doubt they can attach the fastener onto the bumper in any way.

However the drill and cable tie sounds interesting. any further info on that?

pretty straight forward, I'm not entirely sure it's the best idea though.

I love cable ties, I use it for everything. But holding up your bumper might be too stressful for the cable tie/s. If you do go this method and I'm assuming only part of the bar is hanging off, get the big fat chunky ones and put about 2-3 on each side

Yea its just one side of the bumper, Just by looking at it I can imagine 2-3 strong ties should be enough to hold it in place. Thanks dude.

You could always fiberglass new fasteners to the bumper and fix it that way. but cable ties will work. but you might get a few questions about them when you sell.
