ahh ok, the em1 formerly had a b18cr but now back to the b16a. is it suppose to have b16a2 or b16a for normal em1, and what is the difference
BUYING A CAR IS SUCH A PAIN !
what year is the B16a? remember if it is older than the car it can not be registered! B16a2 is the third genertion while the b16a is JDM spec. this will not indicate the year
it should of been updated with a blue slip from a registered engineer. This just updates the NEW engine number to the RTA and a new rego sticker / paper with the new number should of been sent out / put onto the car. If it hasnt , ask the owner to update it for you or ask them for a receipt of teh engine and the payment for the updated ( about $30 at a engineer , then take that slip to the RTA)
icic. should i be worried if its ab16a or a b16a2? any difference?
also it makes a "ticktickticktickticktick" noise when i drive it, its a fast beat so yeh. he said tappets? but what is it and howmuch is it approx to fix

tappets are not a big issue. There is a diy somewhere on this forum. But you know the year of your engine if its newer than your car then you have nothing to worry about?
