    Oil Leaks

    Hi All

Just wanted to get some advice

My mechanic took a look at my car and i have 2 oil leaks.

    1. Leak from the oil sump
    2. Leak from the rear main engine seal

He says he will need to take out the gear box and becuase the clutch is about to slip he wants to replace the clutch aswell. He is charging $300 labor and the rest i need to pay for parts.

What do you guys think ?

good price and you really should change the clutch while he's got the gearbox out to change the rear main seal....saves on labour rather than paying again later when you need a clutch

Yer it's really cheap and his a really good mechanic. Works with high performance cars a lot. His a old mate and his doing it for a favor.

Yer he was explaining to fix the main rear engine seal he will need to take our the gear box and becuase his already there he might as well replace the clutch.

Cheers guys i cant wait to get this fixed cause i am loosing a lot of oil.
