    civic face lift grill..

I'm under the impression for a facelift model i cant make the mesh grill? is this correct? I did it to my car and it was easy, no problems but its a prefacelift.

    Anyone know?

Hey man, the face lifted grill is a single piece, you cant modify it to make it like the mesh grill unfortunatly. The only way is to buy a facelifted mesh grill.

hmm... i did it to my facelift model.

took off old grille, unscrewed frame off big honda plastic thingy. cut piece of mesh. screwed it to the frame and then cable tied the thing onto my front bar.

    havnt had any problems.

True? I know it can be done with some cars like the ej8 and such.
All i know is with my 99 ek1 hatch, you cant actually unscrew the centre piece and replace it with mesh unfortunatly. Its a solid piece.

There was a thread about this topic, let me see if i can find it.

yeh, u don't need to take it out..
saw the middle off like how its done with pre-facelifted models.

Working out how your going to stick the mesh onto the grill is the hard part.

Yep, some cars you can unscrew the centre bit, some you need to cut that bit out.

yeh you can unscrew the ej8 and facelifted ones but the pre-facelifted ones you can, but still wouldn't you need to saw the part where the honda badge is or do you guys just mesh right over it?
