    wouldnt it be better for the compressions to be lower since ur considering boost?

    i don't think so. I'm pretty sure a compression test is used to see if your rings are still in good condition

    thats all a compression test is for - for a more substantial block and head test , do a "leak down" test.

    not if ur car is suppost to have a certain amount of compression
    Hypothetical example:
    ie ITR is suppost to have 230psi over all cyclinders, but comperssion test shows only 170psi over all cyclinders
    its got lower compression cause something is not sealing properly in the engine and is letting air/fuel escape

    turbo cars run low compression, but thats cause they were designed to make less compression as the cylinders move up and down etc
