    Heat!

    OK guys and gals
    i really didnt know where to post this but i thought ill take a stab and put it in the noob forum
    it could always be moved



    Just wondering what things you can do to limit heat in ur engine bay
    Summer is coming
    car seems to smell very hot after a drive
    fanging it or not
    apart from a vented bonnet is there anything esle you could do?
    and looking at what u guys have done..

    put washers on the back of the bonnet, to raise it.
    heat wrap shit.

    run multiple CAI pipes into your engine bay haha..

    im actually not using a CAI but a short ram
    my cars over heatin well sure seems like it neways
    bonnet is starting to fade

    take off the rubber seal near ur wipers so the heat can escape more easily
    heat wrap rad. hose if u didnt think of that

    yeah la. i'm serious. just go to autobarn and get those CAI pipes. and feed a couple from your front bumper into your engine bay. i see civics and stuff with two soemtimes. one for the airbox, one for the engine bay.

    theres nothing wrong with teh car
    LMAO
    i just wanted to see if there is a way to reduce heat in teh engine bay without venting the bonnet

    Over heating = hotter than normal temps.


    Ok:
    Vents
    Raise bonnet
    cold air ducting
    Exhaust wrap
    intake Reflective wrap
    Cool thermo & fan switch.

    drive with no bonnet =)

    raising the bonnet wth washers will definately help, make sure u change to longer bolts as well for secure fitment.

    try it and u'll find out.

    but its kinda illegal , so be careful.
