Dash removal 95 Accord?

yeah ive done it 3 times man, what i did was actually did a little diagram of all the plugs i pulled out etc so i didnt forget to put them back in, i would reccommend it, because i still managed to leave the radiator fan plug out and you can imagine what happened. start with taking off the casing around the handbrake etc and work your way in, its not too hard, probably take around an hour to take out fully. just be careful when pulling the dash out, and putting back in, i accidentally must of rest a metal bracket on the steering wheel and it took a little chunk out. just get someone to give you a hand when pulling out and putting in as it will make it a lot easier to maneuver the dash out of the door. hope that helps. what are you planning to do? get it recovered or dye it?

pulling any dash out is more fidly and time comsuming then difficult. if you really couldnt be bothered im sure u could get someone else to do it.

recovering it. ive done the whole interior, and need to do the dash now.

how many screws are there and where are they located, if possible. just so i dont miss any and damage it

hey man,
its really guess and check, there are a fair few screws to pull out, mainly the large 10mm spanner ones. you cant really do damage to it, just take it easy shake it round a tad and if it isnt coming free, look for more screws. how much can you get re-trim jobs for man? im looking to get mine retrimmed and i live in brisbane. cheers man chat to you soon.

yaeh these is shit loads of screws, you have to start with the center console and shifter surround, glove box, take the column out, heater control pannel, cluster , and yes you can do damage if you mis a screw, it take time and paitcence, if you use your brain and dont rush the job you will be ok, while your at it take your seats out 1st to give you some room to work in. is your car SRS ?

disconnect you battery of cource, remove the SRS air bag from the wheel as a 1st step. failling to do so when working in cars wiring may result in you disconnecting SRS loom and acidental deployment.

so if the batterys disconnected then it wont go off (the SRS)

STATIC ELECTRICITY

the SRS connector on the airbag it self has a shot connector built in, failing to disconnect it could result in acidental deployment and serious bodily injury, consult a work shop manual if you dont know what your doing.
