    Nice project.

Tinkerbell makes a good point RE: rotating the TB. You will definately need a TPS. It's one of the most single important sensors on the engine.

ITB's would be nice, but i'm almost certain that the length of the venturi's would not allow that. I could always lend you my set of ITB's for fitment purposes if needed.

IACV is NOT an issue. ByPass it and disable it in software. You can also set the target rpm's (there are 3 sets of these) in software. I've seen people use stop screws to maintain a higher idle - creative but ugly.

The only problem with rotating the TB is that the air bypasses won't line up anymore which won't matter for the IACV since your not using it but you will loose your base idle and that could cause problems.

the TPS isnt going to be a issue atm , it is a close fit but im not sure exactly how it got broken im hoping it was done before

Iacv has been removed completley and will be bypassed, if base idle is set higher is it correct base timing will have to be adjusted ?

All you will need to for timing is set idle to spec, adjust the timing then bump up your idle to suit.

you can have an idle adjust screw anywhere...

vtek16 - how much fire wall clearance is there?

the engine moves up to 40-50mm in extreme conditions... in a STOCK configuration...

what mounting points are you using? if less than five, you are going to get more movement that 50mm...

BTW - if you are interested, here is my first DIY project:

there are 5 mounting points , there is plenty of movement around everything else apart from the tps now that the iacv is gone ,, the tps only has around 20mm of clearence, it had more clearence with a std manifold but im now running a trpe r manifold which is where the problems may lie

nicwe project car btw, good job

Opps sorry my mistake, you are correct all the passages for the base idle are in the TB

well, download this link: (right click, save as)

    http://home.exetel.com.au/tinkerbell...gust%20027.avi

it is 16MB file, but shows my car on the dyno and shows it rev up and hit the rev limiter...

this is with OEM rear mount, OEM tranny and OEM LHS mounts, but with ES urethane LHS and RHS stabiliser mounts...

there is big movement that is way more than 20mm...

you can clearly see that when pushed hard, the engine moves far too much to have only 20mm clearance...

    alternativly:

a slightly smaller manifold could be a solution to prevent damage, but to the detriment of power/torque if not matched to the rest of the engines compentry (cams intake exhaust head etc)

also - can you panel beat or cut/weld the firewall at all?
