spark plug covered in oil

hey guy i have a 95 eg civic hatchback, the car doesnt feel like it has as much power as it used to when you floor it, and just looking at the plugs, i noticed that the plug in the 3rd cylinder keep getting covered in oil,

any ideas as to why?

p.s. i am a skyline boy, the civic is my second car and i dont really know much engine wise about the civic LOL

Is the oil on the top of the spark plug (as in the lobe where the spark plug lead clips onto) or the spark element itself (when you remove the spark plug)?

Well the thread is supposed to be sitting in the head...

Is the oil on the spark electrode or on the terminal?

Top or bottom of THIS pic?

if he says bottom then there is some serious problems.

Normal cause of this is the seal between the valve cover and the spark plug hole is persished or missing. Lots of oil gets thrown around in there. Two or three cars in our local crx club have had this problem in the last two months. You can get new ones, or high temp silicone the old ones.

Go to a mechanic and get them to check it out, get a compression test.

if it's the top of this pic it will be your cylinder tube seals. you'll need to replace them, you may as well do your rocker cover gasket at the same time

had it on my old d-series on my crx as well
