clutch wont engage after Clutch swap

Hi guys,
need some help.

I changed a clutch the other day.. and now the car wont go into gear... It seems like it will disengage if engaged in neatral, but wont engage while started.

1 - Once u start car in neutral you clutch in the car wont go in gear (unexpected)
2 - Start the car in gear and it wont chuckle all that much (unexpected)
3 - Start the car in gear and drive it balancing clutch, but once you let go of clutch and going slow it would chuckle and then stall(Expected)

I have checked so far the clutch MC and slave. seems to be pushing the fork ok.. even bleed the bastard.

What else could it be?? any ideas .. need some help..

Did you check the flywheel bearing?I think its called the spitgot bearing (spelling).

Its either the clutch or that bearing...either way gearbox needs to be taken off.

you may of put the thrust bearing in wrong ( or not at all )

if you have put it in wrong, usually the clutch will disintergate.

also you may of put the friction plate in back to front.

what clutch was it you installed.

as john said, most common mistake is to have the clutch plate upside down, or another one is the wrong thrust bearing all together.

Just as a precaution so we get a full understanding, can you shift into all the gears when car is off?

the only wrong way is if i had put the thrust bearing facing inwards. but then i would have no pedal feel.

I can press on it and the pedal bounches back.. If i didnt have the thrust bearing the right way it should feel all loose with almost zero pedal feel.. would that be correct?

Also from memory if the friction plate was backwards, can the pressure plate still bolt up as only one side of the clutch is flat..

Ive done clutch swaps about 5 times now.. but im seriously dont want to remove the box and do it once more.. not looking forward to it

nope ... cant shift..

But the thing which makes me think twice is that it even has some issues with shifting when im out of gear...

even if the install was wrong... shouldnt i be still able to shift 100% when the engine is off?

ive seen some boners magange to do some funcky thiings in the past. if you put the bearing in back to front you get a birds nest quite soon.

depending on your flywheel as o what happens when you put the friction plate in back to front.

my guess is the friction plate in back to front or wrong for the car.

did you change the spigot ( flywheel ) bearing ??

what clutch kit was it

is the shift mech ok with engine off you should still be able to select gears. make sure you havent screwed it up. how hard did you smack that pin out ???

Oh i smacked the pin quiet hard.. ahah but it should be fine..

The kit was an diakin/exedy std issue with a new Made in japan spiglot bearing.

I test fittef everything and made sure the spine are the right sizes.

I didnt check the spilot though.. I did the finger test and it felt about the same
