    Beautiful facelift EJ8!

    desperate need of help.

    so i've put in a new headunit in a tiida...

    problem: when i turn it up abit too loud the unit will restart or the background light will start flashing asif its losing power then regaining it. what could be the problem?? its not the headunit cause we tested it in another car.

    Lose wires will cause that to happen.

    like stated above check your connections. Ensure you have no dry solders

    yep perfect i re-soldered everything and its perfect! thanks alot..also i found out through search that sometimes with the bose speakers they draw too much power and can also cause that!

    if thats the case, check the impedance of the speakers compared to what the headunit is designed for, eg, if the headunit is designed to run 8ohm speakers and ur running 4ohm speakers that could be the cause. i think car audio speakers are lower impedance but u get the idea.

    if this was the case, id expect it to take longer and when running at higher volume levels but worth checking, u never what sort of silly designs bose will come up with....
