The stock sparkies are either NGK or Denso Iridiums, which are pretty much almost the best you can get. They last 100,000-120,000km.

If you want higher than that, there is the narrow electrode iridium, which lasts 40-60,000km or the 4-pronged ones.

yeah, i prefer DIY because you never know what parts they use, especially if you don't go back to honda.

yeh tru.. im not sure what to do.. i think its best if i just book it in for the timing chain and anything major... sparkies and oill ill jus do myself..

The K Series have a Chain and a Belt.

The Chain is inside the engine which runs the CAM's and Crank.
The Belt is what you can see on the drivers side of the engine, and runs accessories such as A/C and Power Steering.
