^^^^ I think that confirms my decision to purchase the Comptech Icebox rather than the Jtune CAI. I don't want to lose the stealth factor... I think the Icebox and Hondata mild reflash will be perfect for my needs.

Yep all CAIs/SRIs are very loud when you give it some stick and attract a lot of unwanted attention. I like the stealthy factor of airbox style intakes more and they are also more responsive down low to mid which is great for daily driving.

Could I get a link (ebay or shop) for the place where you bought the SS headers from?

It arrived in 5 days from Texas! Fantastic.

I do find the Fujita too loud but its great fun and very tough sounding. see how we go in the long run...

Thanks suntzu! Did you notice any hissing or buzzing sound when accelerating?

I cant tell over the FulLy SiK SucK SounD bY FuJitA (TM)

Seriously though, theres not much of a hiss. The Topspeed ss header fitted perfect and didnt seem stressed so I did not get the flex replaced. We will see how it goes. Doesnt worry me cause its a 20 min job to remove that part of the header to get it fixed.

I checked it for leaks and seems ok. Two weeks of driving should sort it out then I'll retighten the bolts and check again.

Im keen to get a new DYNO but have no idea where in canberra given my last dyno disaster.

Yea CAI is definitely loud. I've got an Injen with K&N filter & I've set off car alarms several times going WOT. Have you noticed the VTEC transition to high-cam is also much clearer?

Im getting used to the Fujita CAI. As long as youre not WOT all the time its fine. But when you to..believe me othere cars KNOW your coming through. Its like an agry animal is unleash and begging to eat someone.

I dont know if its the CAI or the Headers or both but I can hear VTEC so clearly now. Its a bloody fantastic sound. A real mechanical switching noise. It sounds really efficient and powerful.

When I get Jtune and the VTEC is 5000 rpm then its going to be that much sweeter.

I can feel a bit more low down torque at approx 2000-4000rpm and a bit more power at about 5000-7000rpm. Its noticeable, a modest improvement, not a great one. At a guess im calling 10-12kw at the fly. Im hoping with Jtune it will be a very nice combination on a budget!
