i in the same situation, im going to sit on my L's until i get my fulls in a year, then buy a 600 or something thats a bit better than a beat up 250...

maybe in the mean time ill buy a trashed old traily so i can keep practising my skils but other than that im not gonna bother... im setting the R up for the track.

Also, your thought patter surroudning the vti-r and Type R are stupid mate... your not breaking the law, and or risking your life by buying a Type R over a vtir. a 600 or bigger bike will probably bee more stable but with that comes a shedload more power which (im assuming your a novice like myself) can be very tempting and EXTREMELY dangerous
