I guarantee you the next generation of honda enthusiasts (the kids like 15-16 atm) will probably find the EG/EK to be too boxxy (just like us younger people like me 19 who find series 1 CRX too boxxy) and opt for Gen 7, etc. as a more smooth/sleek design.
imo the back of gen 7 are ugly as hell, but i reckon would look right with some tinting or something done to it. EK/EG's have been so heavily modded thats probably why we see them as more moddable cars (Aside from the fact that EK was last generation with wishbone suspension and the whole engine problem)

the tailights do remind me of the same vintage lancer or even the VZ (?) C'dore

the 4 circle 'Accord Euro' style tail lights on the facelift does look better.....
then now you see 8th gens all with the 4 circle tail lights
    (looks like a GTR hahahaha)

Somebody asked for pics, OK here they are. I present my father-in-law's 2005 Civic.

At the Honda dealership waiting for us to collect her!

In the city outside Stamford Plaza Hotel.

And I did a quick chop to see what it'd look like with some rims. :P I think it looks pretty good, some rims and lowering is all it needs.

Even some smashed ones for the win...

And when it finally returned from the panel beaters shop, I fully washed and detailed her.

    The End.

There's nothing crap about 7th gens.

If anything, they only lack a good suspension and a more powerful engine, which can be sorted out quite easily if you have enough dough. Chassis wise they are good, they are based on the DC5/EP3 platform. Although there are criticism about their macpherson struts front/wishbone rear combo, personally, if we're not professional racers, and it will not make such a big difference on the track for us.

And they actually have a longer wheelbase than DC5, and that might be an advantage on the track as well.
