well dickhead it is a thread about 1.6lt motors not your k20 integra wanfandango bullshit. so yes to do with this thread a 1.6L does have the most moding potential
thought they were 1.8l... lol the 1.8l is a nugget enough.
However, not sure if its been posted, the highest HP producing engine from factory is the Nissan SR16VE N1 @ 197hp also exceeding the F20Cs HP/L record.
That excludes any third party aftermarket modifiers such as Autech, Spoon, Mugen, etc...

you can theres at least 3 in Australia already of the N1 variant, they are already approved for SEVS import in the form a of a 2 door N15 Pulsar VZR.
Also they have a more linear powerband compared to vtec as the intake cam vvl kicks in thent he exhaust cam... TOO BAD theres little to no aftermarket support for them due to Honda monopoly.. and TOO BAD theres little market for them... i would have gotten one, just took too long to get the sevs, and for $14k landed and rego'ed i would have gotten it over an EK
But for that price range, the AE111 Levin BZR is a better buy anyway with excellent handling, power, lsd from factory.... but then again i'm more of a coupe than a hatch fan

these motors only came in "The 1.6 L (1596 cc) SR16VE has Nissan's Neo VVL variable valve timing with lift control. It produces 175 PS (129 kW) @7800 rpm and 119 ft.lbf (161 Nm) @7200 rpm." stock form
but the 200hp one is limited-production (1000 produced Nissan Pulsar VZ-R N1, produced from 1997 to 1998.)
These cars were tuned by Autech Japan.
so techically they are not stock from the factory compared to say a b16b ek9
just my comparisons ..........still a very good motor

N1s are produced by Nissan. Autech variants have a 180hp SR20DE.
SR16VE - 173hp @ 7800rpm / 119lb torque @ 7200rpm
SR16VE N1 - 197hp @ 7800rpm / 134lb torque @ 7600rpm
SR20DE (Autech) - 180hp @ 6800rpm / 141lb torque @5600
I'm loving Honda's right now, but the b16 really is overrated... despite my plans for a full build i don't think i will be happy with it due to the lack of torque, but then again i drive a 2 seater... hopefully my light fly gives me back much needed bottom end response
