i found using a gps on a cruise a lifesaver once. coz i was following sumone and they went past the meet point. then i noticed we were already on the next leg of the cruise coz i saw the road name we were on. then i just set coordinates for the meet point and got back there in time.

also its good for blind corners because it will show u the general shape of the turn. good if you don't know the roads well. also maybe its a bit pussy too lol.
