    CW and aftermarket white rims

    Hey Guys,

A few months ago I was after white rims for my CW teggy but now I have bought a set of bronze rims. But still, I am curious what other cw hondas owners have gone through/think.

The initial set of after market rims i went bught were the oz racing rims which are coloured "livery white". When I put them on, man were they too white for my car. They made my car looked dirty as CW is essentially a yellowish white while the rims are a white-white. At tat point i was thinking maybe its just this white was whiter'er then normal? I went to look for more white rims and they seem to be all too white for the car.

What intrigued me immensly, is that i have seen many jap photos where cw dc5rs have had aftermarket white rims, and the colours have lil difference or no difference at all. A good e.g would be the pic of the P1 QF rim on a dc5r. Did they powder coat the rim?

So my question is, for cw honda owners is, what happened when u tried to keep the white theme but wanted to change to aftermarket rims? (apart from the obvious option of powder coatin) And did you give up like me and went for another colour?

    TeMp

P.s. Sorry for the long post

Hey mate, I do understand your sentiments but if you were to keep your car cleaner, I don't think that there will be a contrast in colour at all. Besides, the cw jdm dc5s look good mate and that the shape of the rims play apart as well.... for example, white work emotions on the dc5 looks pretty good to me as well......

friend: actually when i had my old rims, my parents were overseas with my camera.. so neva really had the chance to take a foto... but i remember type_raver had a foto of my car... and yes it still needs lowering So if tyye_raver comes across this thread mayb he can post the picture up again?

I have a Frost White '92 Prelude and am putting 16inch Enkei RP-01's in white on it, the colour match is almost perfect.

I honestly feel the shape/pattern on the rims is very crucial, honestly if the pattern on the rims matches the styling of the car, most colours will go.... eg te37 can match so many different cars, why? Cos the styling of the rims is flexible enough to adapt to most body shapes.....
