selling car parts on ozhonda would be easier
coz ur selling to a targeted group of ppl..
u would hav a better chance of selling a car part
    here on ozhonda than ebay...
(im talking abt radiators, headers, instrument clusters etc.)

if ur selling hid's, rims, or other decorative stuff then ebay is good 4 dat..

i was just thinking after going back on a Sean Covey book (7 Habits of Highly effective teens) about 'Maintenance'.. one of things in short was friendship is like a piggy bank.. it deteriotes... unless you maintain it.. even a $1 here and there and it will grow. Superannuation funds deteriorate from fees if the interest gained cannot outweigh it...

so say maybe a deterioration system for PQ points if it is not maintained by contributing to the community.. BUT.. the higher the PQ already there the slower it deteriorates or not at all due to obvious proof and appreciation of contributions...

duno just a thought.. maybe a stupid idea.. haven't really thought it out properly or the consequences

    ***EDIT***
speaking of superannuation.. maybe a small bulk deterioration for every members join anniversary... or condition based.. like if a member hasn't made a notable contribution after 6months?

the suck up to admin/mods comment is a bit skewed and unjustified.. [N] was right about being able to tell who is intelligent and who is not (too an extent as i'm only speaking of relevance to contribution to this forum).. im a freaking search whore and those PQ earned by the mods/admins are well deserved.. i guarantee i'v even given some of you PQ for a thread you started long before i joined. perfect example is the DIY section...

for anyone that doesn't really have a decently sized PQ.. if they make a good sounding point.. i will wait to see if it is significantly disproven before i rep it... i have repped someone before on what sounded to be good as i knew nothing of the topic... turned out to be bollocks....technically i should be infracted for it then. i do remember getting one neg rep.. it was fair.. outright dangerous after doing further research on my own.. put a stop to long bad practice of mine.. i'd give a pq for the neg rep if i could :P

some members have even given me good advice via PM about a product that i would love to rep... and giving the advice via that method was good reason too considering topic is debatable and possible 'fanboi's' or eprsons defending a purchase would have just argued and made the thread useless

    You;ve completely missed the point,
Ozhonda doesnt want its focus to be for members to sell their parts.
Sure it may have the audience and the traffic every single day to make this one of the best sites to place ur items up on, but its not within the site's goals to be a marketplace.

This is a car website made by enthusiasts , for enthusiasts.
Anything extra ontop ( a social forum , a for sale forum etc) is a bonus for its members and not people aiming to sell items.

Keep the replies on topic , IE any thoughts and feelings about
the current state of the PQ system.

i have recently received some points, but for some reason they do not appear under my avatar. i know that for someone to give you a PQ point, they need to have at least 5 green blocks. but some people that have more than 5 blocks have given me points, and i would like to know why they dont appear
here is a pic of the points i have recently received...

i actually havent heard of that?

and it wont show under ur name until u have more than 100 points, wen u get more than 100 points, u will get 2 boxes

for now if u hover over ur green box it will say something like "**** has made some knowledgable points"

    Who Can Use This System?
To avoid abuse, initially only moderators will be able to hand out PQ points. However once a user has received 50 PQ points, they are allowed to alter the rep of other users.

Note: Users with less than 50 PQ points can still click the icon however there will be no change to the score of the user who receives this hit. The reasoning being that you need to build up a decent PQ score before you can hand out points to someone else.

this was taken from the very first post, i thought that you had to have five blocks but i was mistaken as i should have read properly. and i now understand more, every 100 points you get an extra block. i would have thought that every time someone gave you a point, that it would equal 100 ponts. thanx for your help KROGOTH
