Thats right, MY07 onwards can now option an ipod adapter from the factory! Think its about $495 fitted, might vary a bit. Cheers

yes but its factory. the type R one is the same and u can still use the audio controlls on the steering wheel.
can it be installed once the car has been purchased? or must it be fitted in Japan?
yes can get it at anytime. Not from factory.
