you can use a B18 crank and rods that might be a cheaper alternative be the same as a B18C

my local Hondarec said it was not a straight foward swap and if it is why cant u get mounts from hasport.com getting a b18 crank and rods wont be worth changing i may as well do a b16 and get better rods and pistons i see it as not worth it i just want a b18 straight up if anyone else out there knows anything on this swap i want to know.

yer they cost heaps but my point was is that they dont list them for a b18 hence prolly dont bolt straight in maybe i dont know really.

im pretty sure it's a straight swap, as EKs - the VTi-R ones - are B16s, so...u would think the B18s would be easy to fit, true?

besides, i think speedracr has done it before, hence it's safe to say he knows his stuff.

but hang on...in ur title u say EK, but in ur post, u say EG...which is it? u want the b18 in ur EG or EK?

you can't get mounts from hasport cos they use the same mounts... u sure you went to a honda wrecker and not a toyota wrecker?

alternatively were they trying to sell you another idea?

Dude read his post properly, he said he KNOWS it bolts into a EG He probably wants to know if its the same with a EK.

Mate settle down a bit. You just joined here and are goin a bit crazy! Chill I been to Hondarec a few times, good for parts n stuff but I am not too sure about their knowledge of engine conversions and atuff (not saying they are bad, just saying I do not know).
