Red face Suitable K & N air filter

    Hi guys,

I own new 2007 Honda Accord Euro. Im planning to change my car's air filter system. I've been looking and came accros twp typers of air filter.

    http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-1209TS
    http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-1206TP
So which one one would fit in my car.

One more thing, will changing my air filter void my current warranty.

    Thanks Guys

    hey blacklotus.

I believe both are 2 different types of intakes, k&n should have each that would fit your euro.

Hmmm....according to K&N, the 69-1209TS is a CAI (Cold Air Intake)...but somehow looks like a short ram intake (SRI) instead (coz it looks really short). The other (69-1206TP) is a CCA (Complete Cold Air intake). According to K&N, the CCA can perform the functions of SRI and CAI (Cold Air Intake).

Power Gains (As per K&N site):
    69-1209TS = 7.13HP @ 5111RPM
    69-1206TP = 3.8HP @ 5000RPM

If you wish to find out more info regarding the diffferences between SRI and CAI, pls click on the link below:

With regards to warranty, I dont believe it will void it (from what i've heard)...HOWEVER the best way to go about it is to ask your Honda dealership directly, they would definitely know for sure. Once you find out, let us know as well.

    Hope that helps.

The 2nd.one is the one you should get. It's a CAI.The 1st.one is a SRI,not as good as it sucks hot air from under the bonnet(you'll also get defected if you have one of these installed)

Thos dyno charts aren't right as the power drops off way before vtec even kicks in and that's when a CAI is the coolest.

I can't believe you guys... You are looking at the wrong intake. The one for the Euro is 69-0025TP. The 2 intakes listed above are for the USDM Accord.

    Guys,
I went to this car modifier mechanic today, he said that in the dyno result, the K&N Typhoon CAI is loosing power for the euro. He recommends Injen.

What you guys reckon huh? I bought mine K&N, I didnt test in the dyno, i reckon who cares, i mean it sounds mad...lol...then after the guy sed that, I felt quite dissappointed.

i think these 2 are REALLY similar... shouldnt be any significant difference between the 2. just probably ingen is dyno proven... who knows

i got ingen... i feel like i loss power too... but the loss and gains from just an intake shouldnt be really noticeable anyway, apart from the sound!
