Just found this.so it DOES work with sat nav.

Thanks. So it looks like I also need to remove the sat nav screen in addition to the DVD unit. What a bummer.

I installed the xcarlink today and it works like a charm. I followed the manufacturer installation instructions but they didn't give any detail about the satnav version. You have to remove the satnav screen and DVD unit to find the port.
