    HELP AUTO gearbox not changing gears probably

    Hey guys,

    Nice and simple my problem is each gear takes so long to engage could it be the gearbox?

    Engine: d15 twin carby auto gearbox

    could be the filter in the gearbox is blocked...

    the throttle cable probably isnt adjusted corectly.

    check if you have fluid in your gearbox first.

    does it only happen on a certain gear or all the gears perry ?

    it could be a problem with a burnt out gear/clutch pack. same problem i had with my auto. occasionally the revs would flare up then the gear would engage.

    this might sound stupid but maybe the valves in the gearbox are blocked or damaged. They are alot more complicated to fix than a manual gearbox

    do a gearbox flush and see how you go

    been ripping it or punching the fuel pedal alot?? its happened to my van... it lags from 2nd to 3rd and it revs for couple seconds before engaging gears
