Yea, turns out my car has a right side EK9 taillight.
Bad thing is alittle bit of the end doesnt light up, compared to the regular taillight. Very annoying

EK9 tail lights wont function the same in a non EK9 because they are 6pin connector compared to 5pin from EK1/EK4. So their is no point in buying genuine EK9's.

    Well also some one said

The reverse lights are different, and when they indicate its white.

I dont think so, its just the same when you indicate and i actually havnt looked at the reverse lights..

I dont see the point in spending for EK9 tail lights, better off spending for 99+ taillights

try the brightness on your car battery ..

the little one is the brighter one .. so thats = BRAKE

the dull one is the longer one = parkers ..

    p.s.

try muck around with the globe too .. sometime it looks brighter and sometime if u muck around with it .. it turns out ok ...

    hope thats any help .
Sorry to bring this up,... but have you tried flipping the bulb over. They have two fillaments (one to light up and one to brake) so if the light up fillament is at the bottom of the globe and the other side is the other way around... it will look brighter.

if you want the easy way out, just wire it up directly and have a 24v bulb on the bottom, it'll still light up the same but it won't be as bright as the top or wedge bulbs on the wing
