open the bonnet and take out the ecu fuse on the drivers side for a while
put it back in and let the car idle for 7 mins (?) without touching the accelerator..
do this when the car is cold (?)

feel free to correct me anyone

no need for the running of the car.

it is OBD0 - so doesnt have long term or short term fuel trims...

just pull the fuse and you have reset the ECU...

if you dunno which fuse is the ECU fuse - disconnect the battery...

the car does have diagnostics, there is a LED in the ECU that you can see when you flick the IGN on. Im pretty sure your ecu is under the passengers seat.

Yup, its under the carpet in the passenger footwell, there's a little flap of carpet precut which you can just flip over and you should be able to see the ECU light. I have the list of fault codes, I can post them if I manage to find them...

You just turn the key one notch before the one u use to start it (all dash warning lights go on) and the ECU should spit out the codes if there are any.

Auto tranny ECU light is under the drivers side dash
