Low power car doesn't really do good with Full slicks, you might end up slower...if you have a 300hp civic or turbo charged it, i think slicks you might do well...correct me if i'm wrong...thank you

meh, leave me alone man haha

i launch at 6k rpms of the line...

in my under powered and under gripped civic Si - stock clutch -

MY recipe for success is ....

    *handbrake up*
    *dial in about 3,500 rpms.
*slowly slip clutch until the front wheels start to pull the car forward - JUST as it does- keep this "level"*
*on the word go slip off the clutch and floor the accelerator ...and then let go of handbrake all in a split second *

    woot indeed.

But i only do that until the signed legal speed

The handbrake is up to stop the car from moving...
Because he releases the clutch enough for it to grip, if the handbreak wasn't up, the car would just launch... but not to the extent that he wants it to

ohh...ehh...but i heard that if will use your clutch more and increase the stress on your clutch and may result in clutch slip...am i rite?...i dono wor...i don't do it that way....hahaha...it seems to have the kick, but the time was no good...feel fast but going slow...or may b i'm a SHIT driver..hahahaha....opps...damn...i am one...sad...

actually it's been very very tricky between Road surface and Drag strip...you cant seem to launch at the RPM as you use to on street...either is higher or lower..hahaha..

actually, i launch ones at 7400rpm...hahaha...guess what...the car nearly go sideways...but instant launch...Zoom..haha..was on drag stip, and playing around with Slicks..hahaha...but slicks are no fun...but the lauch was nice..hahaha...and burning those tyres...oh yea...

When launching...you can rev to whatever rpm BUT "vtec" will not be engaged until the engine puts the power to the ground(as the vtec lobe is not engaged in neutral)...so really the best way is to keep rpm's below the vtec interchange rpm band...

i seen jimmeh do it. getting just a little spin is ok. u dont want ur 16 to bog down cos its piss dead at low rpm. when my car still had the vti motor i launch the car from 6500k and to this day i havent been beaten off the line. with the new motor i yes but not with the d16y8. yes it messes up ur clutch but so what.
