you shouldnt mount the crossover in the door(i assume thats what you mean when you say split box). You would be surprised how much water gets into the inside skeleton of your door behind the door trim.after just a week of having my crossovers in the door they had started rusting up,mount them under the dash somewhere then cable through the rubber boot in the door to the speakers
