    y4 intake manifold ok?

    Hey fellas,

    I've been using my d16y4 Intake Manifold with my turbo setup for a while now, just fine... however ive been reading some people on forums saying the y7 (u.s) manifold is not good for turbo setups, should i be worried?

    also does anyone know how much cc our y4 injectors give? 190cc or 240cc?

    The next step up is the Skunk 2 IM but this will give you more high end power by sacrificing some low/mid.

    the US had a different intake manifold on the Y7. rest assured, your manifold is equiv to the Y8 manifold. Its good enough for your goals.

    thats right

    i changed from y4 to y8 only so i can run the 2wire iacv on the throttle body

    ?? so the y8 intake manifold is no different from the y4's? i thought the y8's were bigger like the y1's

    y1s are tiny compared to y4 and y8

    i got a y1 at home... i'll compare tonight to make sure

    =/ ur kidding me right? have a check for me [ricer]. i have a y4 (non vtec) and a y1 (vtec) sitting here and im pretty sure the y1 has larger throttle bodies. i always thought sohc vtec motors like the y1 and y8 had larger throttle bodies then other non vtec sohc motors.

    hrrrm the plenum looks small on the y1
    i cant really compare throttle bodies or runners as one engine is complete and ones in the car... hard to compare side by side lol

    throttle bodies maybe slightly smaller/larger, but plenums and IM's are nearly the same.

    In the US, the y7 plenum is a top feed, with TB located middle top. Its a shitty design.
