Are 17" Rims too big for a DC4? + more questions

They are multi-stud so fit pretty much all stud types (I believe)

Does the drive quality deteriorate after cutting springs?

I havent noticed a real difference, just gotta go up gutters, driveways and speedhumps slower than i used to.
