Handbrake engagement light

Hey guys,

I've just brought a DC2R from the eastern states to Perth and I'm having issues trying to get it registered. The latest problem is that the handbrake warning light isn't working at all, on or off. I am aware that the light also indicates low brake fluid but could someone let me know how to test whether it works or if its an electrical thing. Also, do i need to take up the carpet to trace it?

Handbrake uses cable not fluid, have you check your fuses, or you may need to replace the globe in the dash.
