This is really more of a case of better safe than sorry...
yep agreed!! I hope it was someone at Bob Jane or Jax QUickfit or something that told you that and not some bulk tyre distributor called Dodgy Brothers Are Us or something....
But then again.. does it look bigger than a 10c coin?

io had the same thing on a set of 17's 2 big chunks were gone, and it drove for a year with no problems, until i later got a blister in one of the tyres and i changed that imediately
Bro, its best changing it. Your safety is more important then spending another $200. Aye we all love vtec so we all step on it when we forgot that our tyres are F***. Take Advice from a Qualified beaurepair. Never know when it will bust.
the tyre is fine unless it is showing cords... whenever i get a car with a bit of sliced of tyre and it not showing cords i just super glue it back...
wowo hahaha, you super it back damns. But depends wheres the cut or chunck thats been taken out tho. if on thte side must change, if on the top super glue liek you say haha.
better to be safe then sorry, what if your on a freeway or sumthing. >120km/h is just an estimate the tyre guy gave u and he wont be to blame if you hit a pot hole or sumthing and the tyre bursts.
u can end up totaling your car over a tyre.
but its up to you lol. id be too worried of bad scenerios to keep driving on it. haha
hey same thing happened to me as well. But now when i decrease my speed it makes a weird sound from the place i scrapped. it bothers me but i havent had time to go get it checked out.
