Suspension Setups For Euro Owners With 20" Wheels

I'm calling on all those Euro owners with 20" wheels out there to share their suspensions setups with me. it seems there are a number of people on this Forum who run 20" wheels.

I have just ordered my 20" rims and now looking to get my suspension sorted out.

Having searched through this site there isn't alot of feedback on how certain suspension setups feel when riding on 20's.

I'm obviously not going for a hard ride for track or anything so i'm still going to be chasing as much comfort as i possibly can (and yes i realise it will be hard to achieve).

    although...
Having talked with my uncle recently he had 20's come with his new holden ute and said that the coilover setup he got after leaving the dealer the other week was more comfortable than the factory setup he had originally.
He is going to get back to me on the coilovers he got fitted when hes down the Gold Coast next.

Also just reading the TEIN comfort sport thread has me curious as to how this would feel on the Euro with 20's at a good looking ride height. I'm not looking to drop the Euro on its guts, however i don't want it looking like an Ford F150 once the wheels are fitted

Any help is appreciated as i'll be back in Brisbane in the coming month to get this fitted to my car.

    Cheers
    Glen

pretty much any coilover will do the job if just for the looks and ride quality ,

It all depends how deep ur pockets go and if u wanna pay for brand names
and whoever convinces what to get

just put some 20's on my new euro yesterday... big problem for basicly any euro owner on 20's with coilovers. soon as you lower it to wheere the rim is at the top of the guard or even close to to it, the rim scrapes on the lower perch adjuster on the coilover on bigger bumps, driveways etc.

20's arnt for the feint hearted mate, my car is BUMPY, like you feel the bumps when you runover and patch of gravel its that bad. take a look at temptns car and you'll need a kidney belt lol

get somthing dual perch adjustable, you'll regret getting coilovers like tein SS that only go like 2" lower from the spring adjustment. if you decide its not low enough and have to spend the money again, totally not worth it imo.
p.s dont be soft just lay the car on its belly, there fat rims, there going to make your car alot slower, handle worse and even more bumpy so why not

i think u should consider getting airbag suspension if ur going 20s.

raise it up for driving/practicality and lower for parking and show off sessions.

its not cheap ~$5000 but it sure is handy.

u can pm "atjo" - he sells the quality stuff that even japanese car modifiers recommend. airrunner.

hey buddy im just curious how a car as low as yours (if it sits like it does in your avartar) can still ride like stock? when i went from 16s to 18s i could feel a massive difference, so yours being that low and on 20s?
ive since then lowered mine an inch and i can feel its stiffer/bumpier...

    thanks
