EM1 front bumper vents... colour coded

Hey everyone, my EM1 is silver, and my little front vents are silver, instead of being black, ive seen a few facelift civics with this as well, i doubt this was a factory option, can anyone confirm this? or does this mean the previous owner had the front bumper resprayed by a lazy painter? i think it looks fukn terrible and im gonna have to get a painter to paint them black, is this just a matter of masking around the vents and painting black over the silver?

    Cheers

if you're going to go to the trouble to respray those little bits black, just buy foggies and leave them with a black housing
