mines smoothing up a little more ive noticed last night, i think that the coilovers must be a little tight and the springs are still settling. altho the spring rates are quite high.

still dont know how it could be like stock if you have your car that low to the ground.

i agree with you... ive driven in lots of slammed cars, and non of them were comfortable to drive... not to talk about handling! they were all like go carts! hit a bump and you slide

What size Gap did owners with 20's first have between their tyre and wheel arch before getting their suspension lowered?

Also has anyone bothered to run camber kits or is it no great concern?

ive got a camber kit in mine but you wont need one if its only sport low height. only if you go any lower you will need one.

the gap is a far bit at the front, the rear would be bearable but the front is not at all

you actually have to lower the car if you put 20's on, otherwise you would just look stupid like a rollerskate.

no idea howmuch my car is lowerd in inches but with stockies on the rim sits at the top of the guard, maybe a little off it. with 20's on thats like a 1'' of tuck or so, that sits nice for my liking. it sits just high enough for driveways and bumps at that height, on the stocks thats another story, a big series of dips and bumps at high speed and you will find your sump guard getting a workout haha.

as for a camber kit, well yeah you can do that, but keep in mind that the more you stand the wheel up vertically, the closer your rim gets to the top of the guard through the suspension travel. i havnt even rolled my guards yet or trimmed the bumper mounts and i have about 3mm to spare, once rolled and modified i will fit my ingalls kit and squeeze a bit more life outa the tyres, thanks to pumped for that one

    ok update time.

I finally got around to pruchasing my 20"s and coilovers.

    rims are a 45 offset and 20 x 8.5

The coilovers were wound down but i can run my figers between the tyre and the guard.

The car rides like a dream. The H&R coilovers are really comfortable, nobody has noticed that the car has been changed when they ride in it.

Only problem i have now is the scrubbing that occurs when i hit bumps on the highway at 100km/h. The rims come right to the edge of the guard and are scrubbing on the plastic inner gaurd.

I'm thinkin i need to either buy another set of rims with a smaller width. maybe 7.5-8. Or get the suspension looked at again.

will post pics later this week

You might have to roll your guards.Try that before you go changing rim/tyre combos.
