    (H22a <----> B18C) DA9 whats your preference

Just wondering what people prefer about each engine, the torque in the H22A would be nice, but is the Vtec crossover in the B18C a greater? Though i geuss if the vtec crossover is what your after you would get a b16a... Im starting to save money towards a new engine, while im still on my p's and slowly upgrading the sussy and brakes, and im not sure on which one id rather save for.. Ive had a post up before about a b16a or a b18c in a teggy but personally i dont think the b16 is what im after, id rather a bit more torque.

Also, is it a lot harder to put an h22a in a DA then putting a b18c in?

    Cheers,
    Tom

h22a ls sells for 7k,... that dude in melbourne took how long... i'd go b18c.. you dont need new engine mounts. getting H series mounts is like another $400 .. someone on ozhonda was selling them.. mooshie or something i think.. stay B Series.. go LSVTEC b16/b20... type r killer woot =PP

i honestly wouldnt go b16a in a da9. some ive seen are even slower than ek4's.

imo do a convert that makes it quicker than the base model car that the motor came from.
    lol

    both motors are good though.

lol i rekon h22a since the last time i've seen are aorund the same price range aswell..

    I'm not selling any mounts....
Go the B18C, easier to drop in there and heaps of parts around for future mods.

    b20 block with b16 head.

but you can really go with any vtec head.. b16a2 b18c2 b18c7 wateva your budget.

lol you can buy a b20b motor for around $800 from wreckers. blocks would probably go for $500-$600 or so.

but yeah they mix and match heads with this block. fatboyz benson fly and jdmtype r im sure have played around with these setups quite alot. im sure they'll have there input on whats the best way of going about it.

or they even might have setup ready to buy for you.

yeah i know its funny! lol!

revving to 10k doesnt really do much if theres no power there.

but yeah once off comparison.. dre's is just a poorly tuned car i guess?

who knows? comes down to driving in that case?
    lol NFI!
