Faded gutter metal strip on FD Civic

Hi All,

Is it normal for the metal gutter trim that the roof racks attach on to fade over time? Mine are starting to turn white!!!!!

I guess a little polish will probably turn them black agin, but is it normal for this to happen?

oMG I thought I was the only one- and my Civic doesn't even have roof racks... it just turned white! Is there alot of stress I wonder.

yeah wth man, there are some white patches on mine as well, i think theres one on my rear window as well and some on the roof... soo gay when you have a black car, YOU CAN SEE IT SOO EASILY!!!

Mine is only on the roof in the back-left corner. Grr it is noticeable on black car ><
