    cracked windscreen

    guys... im in trouble...

my windscreen is cracked from the rear mirror point outwards....

anyone from the south east wanna recommend me a place that will fix/replace the windscreen... im clueless where to go coz it has never happened to me before... also... a rough quote as wells?

the crack was tiny as when i first noticed it... i assumed that the sub caused it coz i listen to my music very loudly... so i stopped that... now its cracked more so... and i think its because i park the car in the sun...

thanx for listening and helping ... if u do..

should have had it checked when you first noticed it. in some cases it can be fixed without needing a new windscreen.

Its obviously gone way beyond that point now.

beeze is right. up to you if you want to use the same seals also. in regards to places, try calling around. there's one on hallam rd behind a 7/11 petrol station (between princes hwy and hallam station). heard they have cheap windscreens. Think they were called A1 windscreens

yeh, when the crack is small it can be fixed but too late now.
wat about oooObrien, heard they do it for a good price plus its reliable.
cheap isnt always good, cuz they might not take care and hold the edges of the windscreen with barehands etc.

It's because you didn't fix the crack/chip when it was small and as a result it quickly because a big one and now you need a new windshield rather than just getting it fixed for like $40

Your sub didn't cause the crack.

Something hitting it caused it. Like a stone chip bouncing off the freeway.

Then as your car turns in and out of driveways, over speed humps, the chassis flexes and twists the windscreen more and the crack widens.
