It does feel more torquier than the Integra Type R.

Redline at end of 1st is 62km/h and at end of 2nd is just shy of 100km/h.

I've recorded a 0-100km/h time of 6.7s so Honda's official time isn't a lie despite all the "unachievable criticisms" out there.

I'm seriously considering reflashing the ECU for an instant 20kw gain and an earlier VTEC crossover.

how was that timed? None of the Australian testers using proper equipment can get close to that. And you do realise that when your speedo on the CTR says 100kph you are actually doing 92kph?!

Also, Motor Magazine tests with 1 passenger on board.

Even without a 100kg passenger it is not going to make up the more than 1 second gap between Hondas 6.6 second claim and what the testers are getting to a "true" 100kph

Yeah it is true. Must be part of Honda's plan to make the CTR faster than it really is. It needs all the help it can get.

hmm, my impression was that it was no slower then the DC5R, felt a fair bit quicker. Making it a fairly quick car for what it is, 2L NA and all. Still a very nice all round package that can't be beaten for $40k.

    I agree!
Some car manufacturers have 3X the engine capacity of the Type R ,some even producing a paltry 45kW per litre (compared to the FN2 74kWs) and sure they're fast but,it also can hide the fact these engines can be inefficient and low tech lumps of steel.

CONGRATS ANU on your purchase have fun with your FN2

Care to quote the source? Sounds very biased.
