b-series conversion is possible. easiest way to do that is through hasport gear. you need to source hasport mounts, axles and wiring harness, jdmyard seem to be able to get that gear.

d-series sohc vtec is possible, but most people tend to steer me away from that. personally i wouldn't mind a d-series turbo vtec, that would have some balls on it...

they are your only realistic options, unless you have a heaps of money to spend.. then you can do pretty much watever you like

Budget is the key part of this?

d series would probably be cheapest

If money isn't a problem, try and get your hands on a H22A Type S

I guess money is an option, or he would be using a better chassis than a '88 Integra.

Rather buy a EG Civic with a B16A conversion or something, rather than doing this conversion...

it'll have sleeper value at least... and its a path less travelled.

i'm going turbo D eventually. but yeah, vtec conversion is lots of effort

    hey mate

i got a DA3 too n was thinking of an engine conversion. Anything other then a the hyped up ZC motor will need a tonne of parts but it can be done.

    B/D series: Info here
    http://hondaswap.com/swap-articles/1...view-da-29119/
note. U WILL LOSE POWER STEERING AND A/C
this was the main reason y i didnt do the conversion.
I still have my DA3 and still enjoy driving it. nothing like cars built in the '80s imo. In the end i bailed and bought a DC2 vtir, but i still love the DA3 and still enjoy the easy driving of it. i still have the intention of swapping out the D16A for a B, perhaps 1 day ill get around to it when parts are a bit cheaper.
