    DC5R audio questions!!

    Hey Guys!!

Just wanted to ask what size are the standard speakers in the DC5R?

I was looking at putting an Alpine sound system in my car, anyone got any comments or recommendations. I was looking at the type R speakers. Does anyone know if they will fit?

    Thanks

Umm installing a stereo in a DC5R is an absolute bitch, i would suggest geting a professional to do it. It might cost a bit but it will take you ages to do it yourself and there is a lot of mucking around involved.

All you want is two sets of splits and a 10inch sub..... 6 by 9's are pretty useless in my opinion....

Get the new Alpine DDR splits, i think they are about 500 a pair.

Focal Poly K's up front with a 10" Poly-k sub. Now that would be nice!

Do a search on clubrsx audio section.. plenty of hits and tips for installation.. I installed the head unit/amp/front speaker and all the wiring myself.

Its pretty easy the only pain in the arse was installing the headunit, because of the plastic panle u have to remove where the cigerett lighter is took me a while. And the rubber lumb in the firewall it was fun getting 4 guage wire through that. I put alpine type r stuff in mine it was good

if ur running subs in ur car, dnt bother geting 6 by 9s or 7 by 10s, they will be useless coz u already hav the subs for base. Settle for different spreakers.

On a DC5R, forget about fitting a 6x9.. as you suggested it'll be alot of trouble.

DC5 uses 6.5" speakers all around.

installing speakers into the rear is pretty straight forward, but the doors are a pain since you may have to cut bits and install spacers.
