If money is tight maybe just get higher springs for the front now and rear later.
Make sure you get the bump stops still though.
u had kings on ur lancer? and they sagged heaps?

wat shocks wer u running with ur kings?

and wat kings wer they? lows or superlows?

its funny, because with the right shock, kings are excellent springs, so i cant wait to here wat ur lancer was setup was like

and they are not too soft, ull be hard pressed finding normal springs that are stiffer

only coilovers springs are much stiffer

    and for the thread starter

I SERIOUSLY dought all this scrubbing has anything to do with ur springs or shocks, its most likely ur wheels offset

width shouldnt be a problem at all, 17x7 is fine with the RIGHT OFFSET

AutoNoob... WTF mang?!? You paid all this money and didn't even know what you were buying?

If I were you i'd sell the current setup - if you want to call it a setup - and buy something decent.

you could do that but you can get great handling out of your current setup by adding swaybars. soft springs and big swaybars FTW in my experience and there is alot of evidence that backs this. hard springs is only for the smoothest fast tracks with great tyres or semi slicks. not street.

as said earlier your wheel offset is wrong. do you have anypics of how deep it sits in the guard

he drives a DC2-R, so anything with the words Tein, or Mugen, or Spoon, or JDM obviously....

Keep your current setup - you have a great setup. Contrary to what everyone has been saying, 99% of them would probably have never driven on Konis or Pedders ever, and hence their opinons are nothing. As ZeForce likes to call it, e-mechanic.

um my name says 'auto..."NOOB"' u do realise.

    the wheels are this
    http://www.tempetyres.com.au/product...t=&part_no=448

it is scrubbing against the body work not the guards, i ripped the guards out AS can bee seen in the photo.

i read KONI is tops, im gonna keep my set up, Benjamins gonna install me some bump stops - hope to learn from him how to self install other stuff like swaybars etc.

my tyres are bald, 4 new 17 inch tyres ~ $500. 4 alloy 15 inch wheels are like $650 from jax, i'll get that instead and sell my white 17's which are too big >___<, tho i really like em.

I recon i'll go with the 15x6.5 or 16x6.5 inch small rims, whichevers scrubbin less - i dont like low profile that much anymore. Too much friggin road noise on rough roads.

im at uni, class starts in 30 mins, im sitting in UTS mega lab, anyone else? lol!!!
