it depends on how complicated it is to prepare & contruct the box, what materials they use, the methods (sanding/painting/fibreglassing/etc), the time it needs...

fair enough mate, they using just a normal MDF with carpet for $2400 and they are going to use MDF + Vinyl for $3400, for $2400 it will take 4 days, and $3400 it will take 5-6 days, just dont want to get rip off by them
