Rear Wheel Cylinders

Hi guys,

got a colleague who's selling her EG civic Breeze.
It needs abit of work for roadworthy but she got quoted something that sounds ridiculous. Looks like the workshop is trying pull a fast one on her.

Question is, what are the rear wheel cylinders on an EG.
I'm guessing these are the valves that pump the rear drum brakes?
And if so, how much should these cost?

According to the quote, seems they wanna charge 600 including labour to fix them.

Any advice pls?

that is for a normal workshop
aftermarket cylinders are like $25 each or something like that.
the rest would be all labour, and even at that, i don't think it should be more than $250 for labour, becuase it should take 2 hours max really, and even giving 2 hours i reckon being genorous.

i'm pretty sure that's the price for the cylinders, i bought a set about 6 months ago, and i'm pretty that was the price aye.

way too expensive.im a mechanic and seriously if you take longer than half an hour to fit each your taking too long.so thats about $60 for the cylinders themselves.1 hour labour = another $60. Brafe fluid flush = about $50
add a little for variance and a reasonable price is about $200,and even then thats a bit steep really,im sure a diy person on here in melbourne could do it for you for way cheaper,id do it for $100 diy if you were up in brisbane
