    actually, theoretically and scientifically, there is only a real benefit from porting, there might be no real benefit from polishing depending on your setup. its good to have a slightly rough/textured surface so that when the fuel hits the head, it vapourises, which aids in complete combustion, which improves power. the rougher the head, the greater the surface area that can be used to vapourise fuel. altho too rough and it will hamper the flow of things like has been mentioned before.
    Current Performance Modifications to ED6:
    not telling, but it involves a semi-quad carb setup, and lots and lots of compression.
