you need a kick ass compressor and a nice 3/4" gun as mentioned above.

a nice wack loosens the nut enough for you to undo it with a bar or a rattle gun.
    thats right.

    all i used was leverage.
it definately wasnt the best method as my engine was on a stand. The force i must have put on it

Some of us dont have access to a 3/4" gun or a compressor though.

Now i have it off i need access to a tension wrench to reinstall mine now.

Never had a drama getting Honda crank bolts off with my 1/2" drive gun using the method i described.

I have a 3/4" drive gun but really only use that on Toyotas.

If it came off that easily its probably been off before?

Honda put 240Nm of torque onto the crank pulley bolt - in most instances, that's more than any stock Honda engine torque.

I detailed my car, inside, outside and under the hood today, and had a look at the bolt - it even looks like a prick to remove....

You can't get a rattle gun to the pulley bolt on the S2k. There's a crossmember in the way.

And some have estimated 500ftlbs of torque required to undo it so 'in gear and brakes on' ain't gunna do it either.

    You need one of these:

It arrests the pulley and crank while you put a 19mm socket, breaker bar and extension pipe on the bolt and pull with all your might.

Yup. Just used a 50mm nut from a hydraulic coupling and a piece of steel I had lying around.

Welded it up in my basement.
