not too sure about cams, apparently people like the cams from the d16a6.

im using a bisi stage 2 cam with kms complete titanium valvetrain atm, and with an untuned motor, power flies from 4.5k to 8k, even with factory keihin carbs, it was enough to keep up with a 4g93t fwd. im hoping with a bit of tuning, maybe a degree more advanced cam timing, more ignition timing, and leaning it out a bit, might get the powerband from 4k-8k. my limiting factor is my $17 ebay 4-2-1 extractors.

check out www.onecamonly.com for more info, guys there know much much more than me. im just learning from them. plus fjdistributors is a sponsor there, which means yay for cheap rebuild kits. like p29 nitride coated pistons with slim 3 layer metal head gasket plus water pump, entire engine gasket kit for $300 + $50 shipping (USD). kms titanium valvetrain is good for 10krpm, and will set you back $600 + shipping (pricey, but you dont want to cheapen out valvetrain). stage 2 cam was like 225 + 100 for cam core + 100 shipping. but bisimoto is really nice, and if you tell him what kinda setup you want and what you're building, he can do custom cams for same price as a regrind (to a certain extent). he can also give you a rough idea of how to tune the motor for best performance as well.

you could also choose the other route and get one of fjt's turbo rebuild kits, with their custom rods. i think he was one of the first to run turbo with vitara pistons, and he managed 240whp with a stocko block (aside from vitara pistons obviously).
