    Cool ~~ RSM install & ECU location in EK1 ~~

    i've been trying to find the ECU in my EK1 2000 but i cant find it! Yes i did look at the manual diagram but still cant find it. I'm looking for it to install the apexi rsm that i just bought. does anyone knows how to install it? like which wire go to which wire etc.... HELP PPLZ !!!!!

    in my eg its on the left foot wall of the front passenger side carpet...
    might be the same...


    just take off the carpet...

    but lets confirm this first...

    the ecu is located in the passenger side foot area. it is behind the carpet closest to the door just under the glove box. as for which wire is used to go to the Apexi computer im not sure

    oh my god r u serious? under the carpet? that is a lot of efforts!! u guyz really sure the ECU for EK1 2000 is under the carpet on passenger side...

    have you checked?

    it is under it but not under as in what your thinking... it's under the carpet to the left.. hard to describe.. just go check it...

    yea i'm starting to pull the plastic steps thingy out now in order to lift up the carpet...while checking my forum

    The EK ECU is located on the left side of the passenger footwell(i think),prob have to take off the bit of plastic & peel back the carpet to reveal it.

    To install the RSM,there is no need to run the wires all the way to the ECU,just wire it into the back of the gauge cluster,much easier & closer to where u will install the RSM.

    All the wires u need are at the gauge cluster,ie power,ground,rpm signal & speed signal,easy.

    yea i thought of the back of the gauge cluster. i just needs to know which colour wire of the gauge cluster goes with power, ground, rpm signal and speed signal?

    Take a good high res pic of the back of your cluster & post it up & i will tell u which wires.

    red= ign 12v
    black = ground
    yellow = ICM
    purple = VSS signal

    ok... taking the gauge cluster out again now and take pics... be right back!!
