I meant take a pic of the back of the cluster, the circuit board on nthe back so i can trace it out,it needs to be a good quality pic,so plenty of light & macro please.
Next time click the little yellow button(hover over it,it will say "insert image") in the reply box & put the url in there & the pics will come up in your post.
In the mean time i found 2 diff sources that suggest your wiring colours should be as follows.
Yellow >>>>> Ignition power +12V
Black >>>>> Ground
Blue/white >>>>> Speed signal
Blue >>>>> Tacho signal
Most hondas the tacho wire is blue & it sits in the left plug on the end of the plug.
Black is also always ground.
Just check the other 2 colours u have
EDIT: just noticed u worked out how to insert pics, lol.
Ahhhh.......now thems the pics i wanted to see.......
Lets see where were we...........
1st......your aussie EK(assuming u dont have an import) does not have a speed limiter,so u use the diagram for "not cutting the speed limiter",simple 4 wire connection.
2nd.........the colours u quote first are the RSM wire colours & they are correct. The colours i quoted are the colours of the wires found in the car,ie cluster wires.I got them from US service manual,so they could be different for your car, slightly.
Now that we have a pic of the rear of the cluster,I will point to the pins of the connector on the pic as shown below & it is then up to you to match that pin to the corresponding plug that goes in that hole,so u will then be able to determine the correct colour of the wire for your car,if the colours i give u are incorrect.
So for instance for the speed signal wire,u will count the 11th wire from the side of the plug that goes in that hole & that will be the correct wire & so on.
Thanks for the pix but i actually finished installing. You were right with the colours of the wires in the car... lucky i didnt go ahead with other colours that i found from other sites..else... i think i would've spent hundreds of $$$ to get new ECU... then that would be a buggar!! This RSM is pretty kewl but now.. i gotta muck around with the settings and get use to it. sigh....
